Southeastern Hosts NWOSU, SWOSU

Southeastern will be looking to make a move in the Great American Conference standings when it welcomes Northwestern Oklahoma State and Southwestern Oklahoma State to Bloomer Sullivan Arena on Feb. 14 and Feb. 16.

NWOSU comes to town on Valentine's Day for a 7:30 p.m. contest, while SWOSU will come in on Saturday for a 7:30 p.m. contest.

The Savage Storm come into the weekend off a 73-66 win over Southern Arkansas and have one two of their last three games. They sit at 12-9 on the season overall and 8-7 in GAC play.

SE is currently tied for fifth in the league with Arkansas-Monticello and SWOSU, just a half game out of third place and two games back of the conference lead.

In its last time out, Southeastern got 27 points from Chris Roussell to pull out a 72-66 win at SAU.

Roussell has pushed his average to 16.4 ppg on the season, while Steven Kohli is next up at 12.5 ppg.

The Storm has three others averaging at least eight points per contest.

Kohli has pulled into the lead on the glass for SE at 8.1 rebounds per game, while Roussell and Mateus Oliveira are knotted at 7.2 rpg each.

Travis Timmons is still atop the assist column with 6.8 apg but has missed the last four games, while Roussell has picked up the pace in his absence with 3.1 apg and Quinton Threadgill has filed in as well, lifting his season total to 1.8 per game, including a 4.3 apg average over the last four games since entering the starting lineup.

The Ranghers come to town with a 10-10 record overall and an 8-6 mark in GAC play, but are coming off a loss to Arkansas Tech.

They lean on a trio of double-digit scorers led by Jonathan Freemeyer who is averaging 16.6 ppg, while Daryl Glover is right behind at 16.2.

Freemeyer also leads the team on the glass with 6.5 rpg, while Glover is dishing out 4.2 assists per game.

The Bulldogs enter the weekend off a 71-60 win over the league-leader Harding, but are sitting at 9-12 overall and 8-7 in league play.

SWOSU has a trio of players atop their scoring list with Marin Zelalija, Thomas Davis and Dominick Cornelius each averaging just over 12.0 ppg.

Davis and Cornelius each average over five rebounds per game, while Ryan Donahoe averages 4.6 assists per game.
