For the second-straight week, Southeastern has moved up one spot in the NFCA Division II Softball Poll, climbing to No. 3 in the poll released on Wednesday.
The Savage Storm are 40-7 on the year and just wrapped up a regular season Great American Conference championship.
SE will be looking to add a tournament crown to complete the set when it heads to the GAC tournament April 25-27. The Storm open with Southwestern Oklahoma State at 2 p.m. in Bentonville, Ark.
Southeastern collected 360 points, passing Valdosta State who dropped to No. 4 with a 33-9 record and 355 points in the poll.
Indianapolis remained the unanimous No. 1 selection with a 44-2 record, followed by Armstrong Atlantic who has 372 points and a 36-7-1 record.
West Texas A&M hold onto the No. 5 spot with a 39-8 record and 341 points in the poll.
SE is set to face WTAMU April 30 at noon and 2 p.m. in Canyon, Texas.
While the GAC continues to not be represented in the poll, the Central region is.
Fort Hays State makes a big jump to No. 11 with a 38-8 record and Minnesota State-Mankato moves up to No. 19 at 29-9.
Central Oklahoma, however, tumbles from No. 7 to No. 21 at 35-9, and Missouri Western State is receiving votes.
