St. Clair Named SE Softball Assistant Coach

Southeastern softball coach Ron Faubion has announced the hiring of Courtne St. Clair to serve as the program's assistant coach.

St. Clair, a native of Duncan, Okla., makes the transition to full time assistant after spending a successful 2013 season as a student assistant.

During that season the Savage Storm won its first Great American Conference championship and made a trip to the NCAA Central Region tournament as the No. 2 seed.

That club finished with a 45-9 record and a 25-3 mark in GAC play.

"I'm excited to start a new chapter at Southeastern as a coach and instructor," said St. Clair. "SE has been a home away from home and I could've only dreamt of an opportunity like this coming along. I am very grateful and thankful to be given an opportunity to start my career at a place I already call home."

"We are excited to hire one of our former players," Faubion said, "It's always nice to bring them back to the program. She did an outstanding job as a student assistant last season en route to our GAC championship."

She joined the softball coaching staff in the fall of 2012, making the transition to coaching after completing her playing career with the Savage Storm.

St. Clair was an all-conference honoree as a senior after hitting .312 and driving in 25 runs. She also earned academic All-Great American Conference honors as a senior.

She came to SE after two seasons at Seminole State where she was a two-time all-region selection while also earning academic All-American honors.
