The Dallas Stars have signed their first-round pick to a three-year contract.
The Stars took Radek Faksa (RHAD'-ehk FOKS'-uh) with the No. 13 overall pick in last month's draft. They announced the signing Friday.
The 18-year-old Faksa had 29 goals and 37 assists last season with the Kitchener Rangers of the Ontario Hockey League.
He also played for his native Czech Republic in the 2011 Under-18 World Championships.
