SOSU Volleyball Adds Three to 2013 Roster

Southeastern head coach Jenn King has announced the singing of Caitlyn Mills, Julia Benford and Maggie Benson who will join the Savage Storm volleyball program for the 2013 season.

Mills comes to SE from Boyd High School in McKinney, Texas, where she as an honorable mention All-State selection as a senior. She helped her squad to a state championship as a junior and earned a trip to the state semi-finals in her final year.

She also plays for Dallas Premier Volleyball Club where she helped her club team to top-10 honors in the North Texas Region and a pair of national qualifications.

Benford hails from Fort Woth, Texas, where she played for Southwester High School. She was a three-time first team all-district selection, earning the honor her sophomore through junior seasons. She also earned several all-tournament team honors, having the distinction of earning recognition at every tournament Southwest HS competed in.

Benson comes to SE from Edmond, Okla., where she played at Edmond North High School. She was a four-year starter and helped her team to a state runner-up finish. Off the court she is a member of the National Honor Society, the Oklahoma Honor Society and was her class Salutatorian.

She also played for Oklahoma Peak Performance during the club season where she helped her team to tournament championships at the Colorado Crossroads tournament and the Kansas City Show Me tournament.
