Southeastern Volleyball Heads to Ada for Rematch

Southeastern volleyball will be out for revenge when it makes the short trip north to Ada, Okla., to face rival East Central On Oct. 31 at 7 p.m.

The Savage Storm come into the contest with a 10-14 mark overall after a 3-2 loss to Texas A&M-Commerce on Tuesday, and carry a 4-5 Great American Conference record into Thursday's matchup.

Courtney Miller turned in an outstanding performance in the losing effort on Tuesday, finishing with 21 kills while hitting .500.

For the year the Storm have relied on Emily Gentle who leads the squad with 3.65 kills per set, while Megan Kunkel is at 2.40 followed by Ariel Sanders at 2.09.

Madelynne Cera triggers the offense with 8.24 assists per set, while also adding 1.45 kps and 2.07 digs per set.

Taylor Benner leads the dig effort with 3.65 dps, while the net defense is paced by Sanders who has 60 total blocks on the season.

The Tigers picked up their first ever win in Bloomer Sullivan Gymnasium when the teams met back on Sept. 27, winning the match 3-1.

ECU comes into the contest at 9-15 on the year overall and 6-4 in league play.

They will lean on a foursome of players averaging over two kills per set, led by Danielle Essix with 2.55 kps, while Jessica Wilkerson leads the team in assists with 5.46 per set.

Defensively, Taylor Brown has a team-best 3.70 digs per set, while Ashley Williams has 73 blocks on the season.
