Women’s Tennis Falls at No. 25 Northeastern State

The East Central University women’s tennis team fell to No. 25 Northeastern State in a non-conference road match at the NSU Tennis Complex, 0-7.

The Lady Tigers (1-4) and the RiverHawks (4-1) did not play the No.3 doubles and No. 6 singles positions.

ECU saw its best performances from junior Bernardita Muscillo and junior Katelin Threet. Muscillo battled through a 6-4, 7-5 loss to No. 49 Kristina Savchenkov at No. 1 singles. Three forced an extra-point set in the opener against Lucia Cerhlanova at No. 4 singles, falling 7-5, 6-1.

The Lady Tigers will start a nine-match home stand, Sunday, Feb. 23 when they face Central Oklahoma at the ECU Tennis Courts at 1 p.m.
