The East Central University women’s tennis team will play three matches over the next four days. The Lady Tigers (6-7, 3-1 GAC) will start the week at Southeastern Oklahoma State Thursday, April 11, face Harding Friday, April 12 and Arkansas Fort-Smith Saturday, April 13.
The Savage Storm are 6-10 overall and 2-2 in the Great American Conference. Southeastern has earned wins overs Ouachita Baptist (7-2) and Henderson State (9-0) and lost to Southern Nazarene (1-8) and Arkansas Tech (0-9) in league play. They have been idle since March 26 when they fell to Cameron (0-9).
Harding is 9-7 overall and 1-2 in the GAC and will face Henderson State and two more non-conference foes before hosting the Lady Tigers. The Bisons have defeated Harding (9-0) and lost to Arkansas Tech (3-6) and Southern Nazarene (1-8) this season.
Arkansas Fort Smith is currently 7-13 overall after dropping their last five matches. Their last match was April 6 and they will not be in action before hosting ECU (April 13).
Men’s Tennis Set for Three Matches
ADA – After a 10-day break from competitive action, the East Central University men’s tennis team will hit the road for three matches over the week. The Tigers will first battle Southeastern Oklahoma State, Thursday, April 11. ECU then travels to Harding, Friday, April 12 and Arkansas-Fort Smith, Saturday, April 13.
The Savage Storm are ranked No. 46 in the ITA and are 10-9 overall and 0-1 in Great American Conference action. Southeastern will face Newman, April 9 before welcoming the Tigers to the Southeastern Tennis Complex.
Harding is 9-5 overall and 0-1 in the GAC after falling to Ouachita Baptist (0-9) earlier in the week. The Bisons will play three more non-conference matches before ECU comes to town.
Arkansas Fort Smith is 8-9 overall and will facing Harding before the Tigers come to town.
