This week's A+ Athlete is Chelsea Hermes from Lindsay High School. Chelsea is a senior who runs cross-country, plays volleyball, softball and is a state champion in basketball and in track.
"I think you have to be really hard working and do good in class," Chelsea says.
Chelsea has no problem in class either. She has a 4.0 grade point average. In extracurricular activities, she is an All-American cheerleader, has won awards at the state level in UIL informative speaking, and has placed at regionals in debate.
Chelsea’s positive attitude seems to inspire everyone around her, and her coach says her teammates take notice.
"She's just been outstanding… she excels in everything she does,” Lindsay volleyball coach Robin Hess says.
"I like being part of the team. When the team does good, I feel better," Chelsea says.
Congratulations to Chelsea Hermes on being named this week's A+ Athlete.
