Sherman Routs Denison 18-0

The Sherman Bearcats won't be going to the playoffs, but that did not stop them from feeling good about the way the season ended. Sherman beat rival Denison 18-0 in the season finale.

Sherman hit 4 home runs, including two from Austen Blalock, as they rolled in what would be their final game of the year. Neither Sherman or Denison qualified for the playoffs, so Friday's night's showdown was the final for both teams.

Sherman finishes the year with a 14-13 record. Denison ends the season at 7-14.

You're absolutely right Mary. Not only does he not put in better players but he also blows games that should have been won without the better players. Him and coach Young need to move on. But I doubt either one leaves anytime soon. I really thought the cats were gonna do big things this year in football & baseball but they can only be as good as coaching will let them. Here's to hoping the cats will do better next year.

I agree with Mary this team as well as teams in the past have had the tools to go all the way but with Cosper always picking his favorites it will never happen no matter how good the talent gets. Sherman has a much better coach coaching the JV that has been groomed well to be a head coach i think they need to go ahead and get rid of Cosper and give the job to Coach Prock before he takes his coaching expertise elsewhere.

Sherman is not going to the playoffs AGAIN because of the poor coaching of Skipper Gary Cosper. Based on current parental observation there are players who are more talented than some of the starters and substitutes, but sit on the bench AGAIN because coach Cosper AGAIN has his chosen favs, some of which go to his buddies baseball camp in McKinney for 1000-3500 dollars per summer. Sherman has the talent to go the distance, but a record of 14 wins and 13 losses means that something is definately wrong. Please tell me I'm wrong!
