You could see this coming. When the school goes out and hires a assisstant football coach without the head knowing anything about it, then its time to go. Snelding is a good guy and a good coach. He is all for the kids, not the parents. He came to Marietta with the attitude that he didnt care who you were or what your last name was. If you didnt practice hard and practice in the summer, including the weight program, then you were not starting on his team. Its nice to see someoe care about the kids like that. Lets them know that they are what is important not their parents. And if this ruffled feathers then so what.Eventually Marietta will wean out football anyway. The town has made it so much of a basketball school it pretty much is just going to be left with that anyway, so it was a good move for the coach. Best of luck to him and best of luck to Marietta on finding a coach as caring as he is.
