Principal/A.D. will remain at Davis

6/9/08 -- DAVIS, OK -- There appears to be the beginnings of some fairly significant turmoil surrounding the Davis High School athletic progam.

Channel 12 has received on Monday that High School Principal and Athletic Director... Jack Kapella has fallen out of favor with school administrators, and very possibly could lose his job.

The wolves have a very proud tradition of sustained success on the football field.

Head Football Coach Jody Weber told, KXII’s Mark Van Paasschen that no action was expected to be taken at the Monday night school board meeting.

But Coach Weber did say that he, and every member of his football coaching staff are completely behind having Kapella as their A.D..

KXII Sports will continue to monitor this situation and bring you the latest as we get it.

UPDATE (6/29/08):

KXII Sports has learned that school administrators for Davis have changed their position, and Kapella will infact have his contract renewed for the upcoming school year.

Head football coach Jody Weber told KXII Sports that he is glad that Kapella will remain with the school, and that his coaches and players can know refocus their efforts solely on preparing for the upcoming football season.

The Wolves will hold their first practice of the season on Tuesday, August 12th.

Is this all of the story? Seems you've left Jack Kapella hanging out on a limb. Why report such a story if there is such limited information? "Fallen out of favor with school administrators" He is a school administrator at Davis! Where did you get your information Mark and is it reliable?
