Denison QB Taylor Injured, out indefinitely

Denison Quarterback Jordan Taylor suffered a broken collarbone during Thursday night's 65-64 victory over McKinney and is out indefinitely.

Yellowjackets Head Coach Cody White confirmed today that the junior signal caller will be sidelined for at least a couple of weeks with the injury. Coach White didn't put an exact number on how many weeks his team will be without its starting quarterback. He did say that there is no certainty that Taylor would be back in time for the playoffs should Denison earn a berth.

Taylor has led the Yellowjackets to a 5-0 (2-0) record this season. He has guided a high powered offense that is averaging 49.2 points per game so far in 2008.

Denison's next opponent is Frisco Wakeland at Munson Stadium.

Denison is not a one player team. I watched them Friday night against Frisco and they were awesome. Sherman always underestimates us and they should know better since last year's ax game.

Denison better hope that DJ can carry the wait of the team on his shoulders. He'll be doing all the scoring now.
