CALLISBURG, TX – It’s time to reveal this week's A+ Athlete. For that, we head over to Callisburg High School and meet a stand-out student who has made a name for himself in three sports and has loved every minute of it.
It’s not hard to find a multi-sport athlete at the high school level, but spotting one that excels at three, now that’s a rarity. But what makes this week's A+ Athlete Quincy Hough stand out even more is that he's dominating on the field, court and diamond while doing the same in the classroom.
Quincy is ranked sixth in his senior class at Callisburg High School he has made the all "A" honor roll multiple times and has already completed 15 hours of college credit. He says this work ethic in the classroom started with his dad.
During the fall, Quincy plays football. He has earned first team all-district, area and Texomaland honors at wide receiver and corner back. In the winter, he laces them up on the court, where he has also made the all-district team. In the spring, he plays the game he loves most, baseball.
Quincy is not sure where he wants to go to college yet or what he would like to study, but he does plan on continuing his studies which he hopes compares to what he has done athletically.
Congratulations to Quincy Hough on being named this week’s A+ Athlete.
We'll introduce you to another A+ Athlete every Friday here on First News AM. School officials, coaches, teachers, and counselors are encouraged to send in your nominees.
