Bonham hires Dale Trompler as coach

BONHAM, TX - The Bonham Purple Warriors have hired former Whitewright and Wolfe City head coach Dale Trompler to lead their football team in 2009.

The school has been looking for a replacement since former coach John Hall took the same position at Orange Grove. Over the past couple of weeks, school officials have been reviewing applications and Trompler rose to the top of the pile.

Trompler spent one season in Whitewright, going 2-8 last year. Before that, he spent eight years in Wolfe City. Trompler will be one of four new coaches in District 10-3A.

Bonham has gone just 2-18 over the last two years.

Well Dale! Youth better be able to take a bunch of untalented kids, who really don't care much about winning, and turn them into football players. If you don't let me be the first to wish you farewell.
