OKLAHOMA CITY - Keach Ballard hit a tie-breaking solo home run in the fifth inning, and Logan Oller pitched a complete game as the Silo Rebels defeated Oktaha, 3-2, to win the Class 2A spring baseball championship on Saturday night in Oklahoma City.
Silo trailed 1-0 after the first inning, but the Rebels tied the score in the fourth on an RBI double by Jared Sterling. Ballard's home run in the bottom of the fifth gave Silo its first lead at 2-1, and moments later, Shawn Hendricks singled home Trevor Bowen to make it 3-1.
Oktaha scored a run in the seventh to cut the lead to a single run, but Logan Oller stayed in to finish the game and the championship for Silo.
It is the third straight spring baseball championship for the Rebels, who also avenged a loss to Oktaha in the fall 2009 title game.
Earlier on Saturday, Shawn Hendricks pitched a complete game shutout as Silo beat Latta 11-0 in the semifinals.
