North Lamar rolls into state championship over Robinson

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) - Rayn House scattered six hits to lead North Lamar to an 8-1 win over Robinson in the UIL Class 3A state semifinals in Austin.

The win means North Lamar will play West for the 3A title Saturday.

North Lamar (34-5) scored five runs over the first two innings as the Pantherettes capitalized on three hits, five walks and nine illegal pitch calls to take control of the game on Friday.

Chancy Williams and House both had first inning triples while House finished with seven strikeouts.

Robinson (32-7) avoided a shutout when Sydney Bethke singled home Lindsay Cargill in the third inning.
