Atoka Wampus Cats Move on to State

The Atoka Wampus Cats are headed to state for the first time in 25 years.

The Wampus Cats knocked off the Hugo Buffaloes in the area finals to punch their ticket to Oklahoma City.

Atoka was lead by a high powered offense featuring brothers Bobby and Tyreke Johnson running the show from the guard positions, with Bishop Coulter making the difference down low.

"We've got a bunch of shooters on our team, and we've got a big man, Bishop, who's one of the best in the 3A," said guard Bobby Johnson.

The Wampus Cats will face off against Oklahoma Centennial at Carl Albert High School on Thursday at 7:00.
