Bearcats promote Wright to lead baseball program

The Sherman Bearcats have hired assistant coach Jason Wright as the new head coach of the Bearcat baseball team.

Sherman quickly went into search mode after head baseball coach Art Senato stepped down to take the head coach job at North Crowley. They did not have to look far, hiring Wright to take over the position.

Wright has spent the past 2 years as the assistant to Senato. He has 17 years of coaching experience including 4 years as the head coach at West Mesquite.

Wright graduated from East Texas Baptist University, where he also played on the baseball team.

Coach Wright will be good for the program. He is a good coach and he already knows the kids and they respect him.
