Denison Hoping to Stay Hot Versus Lovejoy

The 2013 season has been an about face for the Denison Yellow Jackets.

"It just feels like we can't be beat," said linebacker Jacob Hunt.

The Jackets have ridden a four game win streak to a 4-2 record, and sit atop the district with at 3-0. And you can tell there's a different feel to these games.

"The band's excited, the Stingerettes, the cheerleaders...they got a party pit, which is our student body area, (you) see how fired up they are," said Denison coach Chad Rogers.

They have a big game coming up against the defending district champion Lovejoy Leopards, a game they know is a big one.

"If we beat them, it will give us a really big confidence boost, knowing that no one can stop us," said quarterback Devon Blanton.

Denison will play at Lovejoy this Friday night at 7:30.
