Denison Volleyball breaks playoff drought, moves to 2nd round
The Denison Lady Jackets beat John Tyler in the opening round of the high school volleyball playoffs on Tuesday night.
Denison won in three straight games, 25-21, 25-20, and 25-19 to advance to the second round. The win was the first the Jackets have had in the post-season since 1995. Denison had not played in a playoff game since 2005.
In other volleyball action, the Whitesboro Lady Cats defeated Bonham in five games, 26-24, 24-26, 25-13, 26-28 and 15-8.
