Gibbons, Clark headed to West Point for baseball

Two Paris area baseball players are headed to the United State Military Academy at West Point.

Daniel Gibbons, a pitcher from North Lamar, and Jake Clark, a pitcher and infielder from Paris High School both signed to play baseball for Army.

These two were not only appointed to the academy for their talents in baseball, but for academics and leadership as well. Gibbons and Clark both say going to west point is a dream come true.

"There's no words to describe it." Clark said. "I mean I love baseball and I love West Point so there's really no words to describe how happy I am to be going there."

"Just to be in that atmosphere and around people like that that are willing to give up that college life and play baseball with those guys. it's just unreal." Gibbons added.
