ARDMORE, OK--Part of Highway 77 in Ardmore was closed down for most of the day after an oil field truck created a large spill.
It happened around 8 a.m. this morning near exit 21 off of Oswald road. Oil based drilling mud spilled out the truck as the driver braked while turning on a curve. ODOT said it was close call for the drivers behind the truck but luckily there were no accidents.
They along with several cleanup crews have laid absorbent and sand over the spill and say it is not hazardous but could be a problem if it rained and was not removed. The road is expected to be back open by the end of today.
