The Ardmore Tigers had one of their best seasons since 2011, going 8-3 and reaching the playoff yet again ,and head coach Doug Wendel is excited.
"Our numbers are going to be higher, significantly higher than what we've had in the last three years and were excited to see how we can gel this thing together and how good we can be," said Wendel.
The biggest question for the Tigers will be down in the trenches. Coach Wendel will have a young squad at the line positions and how well those guys come together will determine how successful this team will be.
"I feel like the line's going to be good because I feel like we're all coming together. I feel like they're all working hard and that they want to be good," said offensive lineman Michael Nicholas.
The Tigers will have weapons on offense as they operate out of wishbone again while the defense will be led by a pair of defense-backs that are some of the best in the state. If all the question marks can be answered when district rolls around, the Tigers will be tough to beat.
"The underclassmen, they've stepped up, they've worked hard and then the senior class, there's just a few of us but we've been working hard. I feel like this could be a good year for us," said receiver Dereque Jones.
