Levi Lewis tossed a two-third of an inning before giving way to Cameron Mann who tossed the final 2.1 innings to earn his 11th save of the season
SE pitchers reaped the benefits of four double plays turned by the Storm defense on the afternoon, all of which we inning ending.
A trio of seniors led the offensive charge as well as Blake Gentry, Cameron Green and Dalton Nelson each posted a pair of hits, while another senior, Brad Shankle, connected on his second home run of the weekend with a two-run blast.
Nelson and Shankle each drove in a pair of runs, while Kevin Phillips added one of his own.
The Storm jumped to a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the second when Shankle homered down the left-field line, plating Nelson who singled one batter earlier.
SE stretched that advantage in the third inning, first when Gentry scored on a Phillips sac fly and then tacked on two more when Nelson doubled into the left-center ally to score Peter Bako and Green and put the Storm up 5-0.
The Bisons picked up runs in the fourth, fifth and seventh inning to close the gap to 5-3, but Mann would come on with two outs in the seventh and strikeout the first batter he faced to end the inning.
He would hold HU scoreless over the final two innings to earn the save.
