The Whitesboro Bearcats are in the business of making history, and last year was no exception. They went to the second round of the playoffs, the deepest run in team history.
"It only pressed us to do better the next year, I mean there's always room for improvement and I'm just looking forward to doing even better this year," said running back Jake Dyer.
The Bearcats' quest to improve will be challenged by a tough district, which includes longtime rival Pottsboro.
"That district is going to be tough as nails, I mean you got to come out every week to play. There's not a slouch among them. I would guesstimate one of the toughest districts in the state," said head coach Eddie Gill.
And after such and exceptional turnaround in recent years, The Bearcats will take the field on Friday's this fall with raised expectations.
"We want to win every football game. We go in every week wanting to win that football game and you know if we keep that up and you continue to meet that goal then you're going to go a long way," said Gill.
