Texas beats OU, 7-3

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) - Chance Ruffin struck out a season-high 10
and Brandon Loy had a key two-run double to lead Texas past
Oklahoma 7-3 in the first game of a doubleheader Saturday.

Ruffin (6-2) allowed seven hits and three runs in 6 1/3 innings,
and Austin Wood earned his ninth save with 2 2/3 hitless innings of

Loy's double gave the Longhorns (27-8, 10-6 Big 12) a 3-0 lead
during a five-run second inning.

Tant Shepherd had two hits and scored twice for Texas, while
Kevin Keyes was 2-for-3 with a run and an RBI.

Aaron Baker's 10th home run, a two-run shot in the fourth,
pulled the Sooners (29-9, 8-5) within 5-2, but Ruffin answered with
two scoreless innings.

Oklahoma's Andrew Doyle (5-3) allowed eight hits and seven runs - five earned - in 7 1/3 innings.
