The Dallas Cowboys open training camp in San Antonio this week. Coach Wade Phillips has vowed to crack a sharper whip.
Previous training camps were dubbed "Camp Cupcake" because of
how easy Phillips made things for veterans.
The first practice is Wednesday at the Alamodome.
Phillips is going into his third season running the Cowboys and
his eighth full season as an NFL head coach -- yet he's still
seeking his first career playoff victory.
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has invested $1.1 billion in a new
stadium in Arlington.
Dallas is paying roughly $3 million to Jason Garrett to be the

The team's first pre-season game is Aug. 13 at Oakland.
