Cowboys having to go long way to score this season

Tony Romo and the Dallas Cowboys have had to go a long way to get their touchdowns this season.

Their four touchdown drives this season have averaged 78 yards, including a 95-yarder for their only score in the last game.

Romo says while the goal for each drive is to score points, and there's no real thought about how far it is to the end zone, he says a lot of things have to go right to move 80 yards.

The Cowboys (1-1) have forced only one turnover so far, and they haven't gotten any big kick returns. Their average starting position for 18 possessions is their own 20. Only one drive started beyond the 30, at the 34.

Dallas plays its home opener Sunday against Tampa Bay.
