Devin Harris is getting close to his long-awaited return to the Dallas Mavericks. The veteran guard isn't quite there, though.
Harris went through his first full practice in more than month Tuesday, the latest step in his long recovery from offseason toe surgery on his left foot.
The 10th-year player is back with the team that acquired the former top-10 pick on draft night a decade ago. He sustained the toe injury during his only season with Atlanta.
The Mavericks sent Harris to New Jersey in the trade that brought Jason Kidd six years ago. The Nets traded him to Utah for Deron Williams three years later.
Dallas coach Rick Carlisle said Harris won't play on a two-game trip to the Los Angeles Clippers and Phoenix this week.
