Baylor is acknowledging what it calls a three-year joint investigation with NCAA enforcement staff after a report of rules violations in both the men's and women's basketball programs.
The school issued a statement Monday after ESPN.com reported that coaches made more than1,200 impermissible calls and text messages to prospects over a 29-month span dating to 2008.
The school did not disclose any details of the investigation, including what sports are involved.
