Ethan’s journey to becoming the new Morning News reporter for News 12 has been a long but rewarding one as he joins the News 12 team this September 2013.
Ethan was raised in North Richland Hills Texas, near Fort Worth and although he doesn’t have a southern drawl or a horse, he is a true Texan. Ethan graduated from the University of North Texas in Denton during the summer of 2013 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Converged Broadcast Media. While at UNT he volunteered at the campus television station North Texas Television where he gained experience reporting and anchoring and working with production. His senior year he was fortunate enough to be the News Director for the station, where he oversaw the production of a noon and nightly newscast that was produced Monday through Thursday each week, along with a weekly Spanish newscast.
Ethan’s passion for news stems from his love of storytelling. He enjoys reporting because it allows him the opportunity to meet people and have an avenue to share their stories. He would love to one day travel around the world and find fascinating stories about people and be able to share them.
Ethan is an avid runner…or at least tries to be. He was once a Regional Qualifier in Cross Country in High School, but with his schedule, he sometimes finds it hard to keep up with; a habit that he is trying to fix. Along with running he loves reading books, watching movies, keeping up with his favorite teams the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Rangers and going on exciting adventures with his friends and family.
Although Ethan is not far from Fort Worth, Sherman is now his new home and he is excited to be here. If you have any early morning news tips or story ideas email him at email@example.com.
