Daniel Armbruster joined First News in October 2008 as a general assignment reporter in the Ardmore newsroom. In July 2009, he was reassigned to Weekend Anchor/Reporter in Sherman.

Daniel’s broadcasting career started more than a decade ago when he was in high school at KXII's sister station, KWTX, in Waco, TX. Daniel most recently worked at KTVT-TV in Dallas.

Daniel grew up in Lorena, TX near Waco and graduated Cum Laude from the University of Texas at Arlington with a BA in communications and a minor in political science. Daniel is a member of the Phi Kappa Phi Honors Society and the Golden Key National Honors Society.

Daniel enjoys the great outdoors, exercising, home cooking, following national headlines, spending time with family and friends, and walking his two dogs Gus and Shelby. Daniel is a proud Texoman and wants to hear your story ideas!Email him at daniel.armbruster@kxii.com
