Name: Maureen Kane
Title: Anchor/Executive Producer
Email Address: maureen.kane@kxii.com

Maureen is the 5, 6, and 10 pm news anchor and executive producer of First News. Before coming to KXII in 2006, she worked at KYTX-TV in Tyler, TX, as an anchor/reporter. She's also worked as a reporter and producer at KLKN-TV in her hometown of Lincoln, Nebraska. But she started her career behind the camera, doing everything from writing and editing, to running cameras and creating graphics at KBTX-TV in Bryan/College Station, TX.

While she wasn’t born in the Lone Star State, Maureen got here as fast as she could, attending Texas A&M University. Once she moved to North Texas, she fell in love with the area and the people--and plans to stay!

When she's not in the newsroom, or on the anchor desk, she loves volunteering for nonprofit organizations, serving as Chair for the United Way of Grayson County's 2010 fund raising campaign, volunteering for the Children's Advocacy Center, and previously working for Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD).

Maureen loves meeting new people and getting involved in our community, so if you see her out and about in Texoma, don’t be shy—say hello! Or you can always drop her an e-mail, or give her a call with any story ideas.
