Name: Maureen Kane
Title: Anchor/Reporter
Email Address: Maureen.kane@kxii.com

Maureen is excited to join the KXII news team as an evening anchor and reporter. She comes to Sherman from Tyler, TX, where she anchored and reported for the CBS affiliate. Before that, she worked as a reporter and producer at KLKN-TV in her hometown of Lincoln, Nebraska. She has also worked behind the camera, doing everything from writing and editing, to running cameras and creating graphics at KBTX-TV in Bryan/College Station, TX.

While she wasn’t born in the Lone Star State, Maureen got here as fast as she could, attending Texas A&M University. She fell in love with the region, and plans to stay!

Anchoring and reporting the news is her passion, but she also loves volunteering for nonprofit organizations, including Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD), the Children’s Advocacy Center and local Domestic Violence Shelters.

When she’s not in the newsroom you can find her running or kickboxing, or just spending time with friends. Don’t be shy—say hello! Maureen loves meeting new people and can’t wait to get involved in our community.

Thanks for welcoming her to Texoma!
