Maddie Garrett joined the KXII news team in July 2009. While she is new to the Texoma area, she is no stranger to north Texas. Maddie grew up in Coppell and moved right up the highway to attend the University of North Texas in Denton. She graduated from UNT in May 2009 with a Bachelors of Science degree in Electronic News.

Maddie had a knack for news from the beginning of her college career. She volunteered at North Texas Television, UNT’s campus TV station, for her first three years at North Texas. During her senior year Maddie was the News Director at North Texas Television. Maddie also interned at KXAS-TV in Dallas/Fort Worth.

When she isn’t out in the field, Maddie enjoys camping, spending time on the lake and just about anything outdoors. She also loves spending time with her family and friends.
