David has been the Sports Director and Sports Anchor at KXII-TV since July 2001. A local product, David graduated from Whitesboro High School before heading off to Baylor University.
David began his broadcasting career in 1994 at KCEN-TV in Waco. There he covered sports and news. David became a full time sports reporter in 1995, when he moved to College Station to cover Texas A&M at KBTX-TV. It was there he had a chance to cover those classic battles between the Aggies and Longhorns.
In 1998, David took a job at KTBC-TV in Austin, where he covered the other member of the rivalry, the Texas Longhorns. He was on the field for Ricky Williams' record breaking run to become the nation's all-time leading rusher. He has also covered several Big 12 title games, OU-Texas border wars, the NBA Finals with the Spurs, and NCAA Tournament basketball. David is now back home in Grayson County, where he has the opportunity to cover the sports he was raised watching and playing. He was named Texas Sportscaster of the year in 2004 by the TAPB for division III television stations.
David and his wife Jennifer have a two sons, Peyton and Preston. David enjoys spending time with his family, looking for his golf ball, playing fantasy sports, and covering local athletic events. He is a member of Parkside Baptist Church in Denison.
