SHERMAN, Tex. -- A man was found hiding in the closet of a woman’s residence in Sherman around midnight Tuesday night on South Charles Street.

The woman said she came home around 11:30 p.m. and put her kids to bed. The kids then thought they heard someone in the closet. When the woman moved the kids into her room, she turned around and saw the man run out the back door.

He's described as a black male.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Sherman Police Department.

Were the kids alone in the house until 11:30, or did she have hem with her? How did one of the kids know that there was a man "playing hide and seek" as aired on 12 news? Too many unanswered questions.

Wow, this is frightening! I am glad to hear that the mom and kids are safe. I wonder also if the doors were left unlocked or if he got in some other way. I will definately not be leaving doors unlocked anywhere I go. So sad that we can't even have our doors unlocked at our own homes.

So the guy was taking a nap in the closet, big deal. I know when I get tired I go sleep in a random persons closet.

That has to be one of the most terrifying experiences in your life. Thankfully, she thought to get the children out of the room first. Hopefully they catch this creep and soon!

That gives me the creeping willies. That's a bad neighborhood in some parts. Especially near Willow St. allkinds of trash lurking around. You see everything standing on the corners of Willow and Lamar. I hope the police watch that area close.
