Stepping into the "Air Native"

Native Americans may soon be walking -- or running -- with an extra spring in their step. Nike analyzed the feet of more than 200 Native Americans from 70 tribes, discovering that their feet are, on average, wider and taller.

Nike designed a shoe, the ‘Air Native,’ to better accommodate those features. They'll be sold at wholesale prices to tribal schools and wellness programs, which will then make them available to their members often at no cost.

Nike officials say they will reinvest whatever money they make in profit in tribal health programs.

This one is to Whitie location White America. The same thing he always got, everything else without having to shop around too far for it at $2.70 a gallon for gas.

I agree with Oklahoma Mom, the "whitie" gets to have every other type of shoe. I have very short but extremely wide feet. I can't buy all the cute little shoes that most "whitie" gets to wear. I think Nike is doing a good thing here! Now, wish everyone else would follow...

"Whitie" gets all the other brands of shoes that are sold. And if Whitie also happens to have wide and tall feet he can buy these.

Wow that's great. My family also has odd shaped feet. My Grandmother had to order her shoes from a special company because she wore a size 6EE which is a very wide shoe but really short. In this day and age it's easier to buy shoes since there is a wide varity but my daughter who is 15 has a very hard time buying dress shoes. She has wide feet and most dress shoes are designed for a narrow foot. Anyway, I just thought this was a really cool thing to do. Way to go Nike!!!
