KINGSTON, Okla. -- City officials in Kingston say a water pump stopped working Thursday because of mechanical failure. An outdoor watering ban went into effect Friday morning.
The water department says that residents might notice air bubbles from the tap and a slight drop in pressure but the water is safe to drink.
Outdoor watering and outdoor burning are prohibited until further notice.
Water officials say they expect to have the problem fixed by next week
