Sherman fire officials back at work

SHERMAN, Tex. -- Two Sherman fire officials are back to work, but with different duties. Fire Chief Jeff Jones says fire marshal Perry Elliott and assistant fire marshal Richard Johnson returned to work this week after being placed on administrative leave at the end of August.

They are now on other job assignments.

The department received a complaint about both men back in June.

Jones says the investigation is complete but will not reveal the details. He says the department plans to fill the positions internally.
