Fire destroys mobile home

BRYAN CO., Okla.--A fire Sunday afternoon destroys a mobile home in Bryan County. Fire fighters say it happened at 5:30 pm on Crowder Rd., northwest of Mead off Ranchette Rd.

The mobile home was fully engulfed when the Lakewood volunteer fire department arrived. Silo and West Bryan County assisted and were able to put out the fire in about one hour.

The property owner says the home was unoccupied because he was trying to sell it.

"Oh, I thought I had lost everything I owned I mean I was sick and then I got down here and it was still my property burning but it was a relief to see that it wasn’t my house," said Chris Clark, the property owner.

Clark says he lives in the trailer next door, but his home was unharmed. No word yet on how the fire started.
