ARDMORE, Okla. – Carter County residents have a new way to take care of that ‘sweet tooth’ problem.. The Sweet Bakery is Ardmore’s newest specialty store and newest addition to Main Street.
The official opening was held on Tuesday, and owners say they love having the people come in and welcome them to Ardmore.
Owner Dawn Mitchell says she decided to open the bakery when she found out Ardmore didn’t have a bakery in the area when she was looking for a birthday cake for her son.
The sweet bakery is located on East Main Street, an area of Ardmore that was considered to be losing its luster, but Mitchell says she hopes to brighten it up.
The bakery serves a wide variety of pastries and sweets and a lunch menu that changes daily.
