CARTER COUNTY, Okla. -- A familiar Ardmore organization has a new director.
The Main Street Board has been looking for a new director for months. On Tuesday night, they will formally introduce James Lamey to the city and the Main Street merchants he'll be working with.
The board is holding a fundraiser for Main Street on Tuesday night while giving people the opportunity to meet Lamey, but tonight's event is not just about the new director.
Board members say it's also about a new beginning for Main Street. They say they’re excited to have Lamey in Ardmore and feel he is just what the city needs to revive Main Street.
Lamey is the former director of Sulphur's Main Street. He says he is excited to be apart of Ardmore’s future and is ready to lead Main Street down a new path.
