Two teens injured, one arrested in Sherman stabbing

SHERMAN, Tex. -- A traffic accident shut down a major roadway on Wednesday afternoon. It happened just after 2 p.m. on Highway 56.
Police say it was a two-vehicle accident on Highway 56 between FM 1417 and Friendship Road. A semi knocked down a power line that blocked the highway, causing traffic heading east on 56 to find an alternate route.
Another semi tried to u-turn to head west on Highway 56, but as it was turning, a pickup traveling heading east and hit the semi attempting to turn.
The pickup driver's daughter tells us her father had an insulin reaction and blacked out, causing him to lose control. She says he was treated and released from a local hospital.
Just about a mile away, another minor accident happened on O.B. Groner Road and FM 1417. No one was injured; police say one car pulled out in front of another.
The highway should reopen around 6:30 Wednesday night.
