CARTER COUNTY, Okla. -- Three men stand accused of torching old buildings in Carter County, one of whom is a former volunteer fire fighter.

According to the Carter County District Attorney’s Office, Samuel Simmons and Richard Colson are facing second degree arson charges. Their plea hearings are set for October 15.

We were also told by the district attorney’s office that former Wilson volunteer firefighter Dillon Vernon accepted a plea bargain on Wednesday. Details to the plea agreement were not disclosed.

In August, authorities arrested the three men for setting abandoned buildings on fire, including an old head start building next to Wilson Elementary School.

Well apparently none of you have been to Wilson to see the things they burnt down...Nothing in this town is worth much money...Plus everything they burnt down was going to get torn down anyways...It is not right to talk so badly about them when there are worse things going on in this county than a couple of fires...They just did the people who were going to tear them down a favor and now they just have to clean it up...Saved them work to do...

Its sad to know you so called news casters have no life...You can think of getting your stuff straight before you start casting it in the public...Sam is my best friend and I know how upset he is about all this and yes he is going to jail so don't you think that you all have done enough...Let it go...No one in this world is perfect and never will be perfect...Sam is a really sweet person and he has a really big heart...You people don't know what it's like to have to say goodbye to your best friend and are not when you are ever going to see them again...You news casters can not even get the weather right and thats sad because that is your job right? It is sad when you all have nothing better to do than try and make things worse than they really are...You don't know the whole truth and never will...It is really sad that you get paid to stick your noses in other peoples lives...It is not right...But I'm sure all your faces will be on there to and stretched out more than what you really did

Yes..these boys have made their share of mistakes but why do people insist on talking about them..do you people not have anything better to talk about?? Do you live on talking about other peoples mistakes?? The real question is what have you done in your past?? This is a mistake made by kids..I think that you people should grow up and get a life..People make mistakes..I'm sure you people are not perfect..So why don't you people start promoting world peace or something?? At least you would be doing some good in the world..Yes maybe they have made mistakes and need to pay for what they have done..But honestly do you think that you are doing anything for yourself by leaving these comments on the KXII webpage..I mean grow up quit making a bigger deal out of this then it really is..

I had to laugh, but then shake my head in shame at the lack of education from people who post comments here. Please do "spellcheck and grammar check". There is nothing more ignorant than trying to be taking seriously when you can't even speak english properly.

KXII is just doing the job they are paid to do, if you don't want all this attention, I would suggest staying out of trouble next time! Maybe spend more time in a school getting a bit more education on your proper English/Grammer would be a good start rather than running around town starting fires. Think about it, you all brought this on yourselves! Enjoy your time in jail/prison, you earned it!
