CARTER COUNTY, Okla. -- Two Carter County men were in court on Monday facing felony arson charges.
Samuel Simmons and Richard Colson are accused of setting fires throughout the county this summer.
The third man accused of setting the fires, former Wilson volunteer firefighter Dillon Vernon, pleaded guilty last week.
All three suspects could face up to five years in prison.

CARTER COUNTY, Okla. -- Three men stand accused of torching old buildings in Carter County, one of whom is a former volunteer fire fighter.
According to the Carter County District Attorney’s Office, Samuel Simmons and Richard Colson are facing second degree arson charges. Their plea hearings are set for October 15.
We were also told by the district attorney’s office that former Wilson volunteer firefighter Dillon Vernon accepted a plea bargain on Wednesday. Details to the plea agreement were not disclosed.
In August, authorities arrested the three men for setting abandoned buildings on fire, including an old head start building next to Wilson Elementary School.
