SHERMAN --A gas line break shut down a major Sherman roadway shut down. Officials tell us a stretch of Texoma Parkway was closed to traffic because of a gas leak. It happened around 6:30 pm near Texoma and Gallagher
A contract worker was putting in a new water main for the city. He told us he heard a hissing noise as he was working and reported it to emergency officials. An Atmos Energy spokesman says the worker accidentally cut a four inch gas main on the west side of Texoma Parkway.
Texoma was shut down from Gallagher to Hwy 82 for about an hour. Atmos says the line is now repaired.
