ARDMORE, Okla. -- The Big Five Community Service Agency had their grand opening of the re-run junction thrift store in Ardmore on Friday morning. The goal of community service group is helping people in the community and providing jobs for some wonderful people.
On Friday, the community service group had their grand opening of the Re-Run Junction Thrift Store in Ardmore.
The shop accepts donations of different items ranging from clothes to books to movies to CD’s.
But the best part of this non profit agency is that they are providing job opportunities for individuals with developmental disabilities
"Through DHS, we have a case manager a through disability waiver that can work here. One of the things we pride our selves on is they all start on minimum wage jobs," said Big 5 Program coordinator Nichole Griffin.
The store is located on Broadway. Big-5 has six other thrift shops across Oklahoma. Organizers say it took them a year to set up shop in Ardmore.
