Some Texas residents could have some extra cash lying around and the state wants you to collect it. The state Comptroller's office released their annual list of individuals with unclaimed property.
Officials say more than 152,000 Texans have $250 dollars or more in forgotten funds. This could range from unclaimed checks, deposits and refunds, to royalties and securities.
There's no deadline to claim your money.
Call the Comptroller’s office at 800-654-3463 or 512-463-3120 or log onto www.window.state.tx.us/up to search for your name and process the claim electronically.
Officials say to be patient as they phone lines are very busy the first few weeks after the list is released.
