Man faces murder charges in Paris shooting

PARIS, Tex. -- A suspect in a deadly shooting in Paris, Texas, is now facing murder charges. Jason Jermaine Gordon is accused of fatally shooting Gerron Biggers, 30, early Sunday morning.

If convicted, Gordon could face life in prison.

Police say the shootinh happened at 6th NE and Tudor St, about 4:30 a.m. Sunday. Paris PD says they received a call saying someone had been shot. When they arrived at the scene, the victim, 30-year-old Gerron Biggers, had already been taken to Paris Regional Medical Center by private vehicle.

When investigators went to the hospital they found Biggers had been shot in the chest. He man died later Sunday morning at the hospital.

Paris Police say more people could be involved and that they will continue to investigate.
