Texas Congressman Ralph Hall (R) introduced legislation to help keep U.S. borders secure on Tuesday.

The legislation would focus on developing technologies to improve detection and prevention of drug traffickers and terrorists.

Officials say it would also help keep illegal immigrants from entering the United States.

In 2005, U.S. Border Patrol agents apprehended more than a million people attempting to enter the country illegally.

Ralph Hall has made illegal immigration one of his to priorities throughout his long career in Congress. That's why Texas has virtually no illegal immigrants living here. Hall is a devout conservative. He and his fellow conservatives are the reason why we have had a balanced budget in Washington for so many years. He is a champion of smaller government, That's why our federal government is so small and not at all intrusive. He takes seriously his duty as a congressman to provide checks and balances on the Executive branch of government. That is why he consistently votes against the desires of Pres. Bush. Mr. Hall believes we should avoid forgein wars, and under no circumstances enter into one without a clear exit strategy. Mr. Hall believes he can get your vote because all he has to do is say what you want to hear. Ya' know,...He's right. All he has to do is utter the magic words: "I AM A CONSERVATIVE", and he gets re-elected. So many have followed his lead, and the sheep follow.

How about Hall doing something real and demanding his buddy Bush crack down on illegal employers like Bo Pilgrim? More electronic stuff on the border will do nothing. (If Hall bothered to spend some time on the border, and not just a press junket like he did in Iraq, or a fool's errand like he did in the Mariana Islands, he'd know that.) It takes manpower to actually stop immigration and it takes tough enforcement to turn this serious problem around. Hall is just doing his usual thing: empty legislation that gives him something to talk about, but in reality is meaningless and powerless. He should have retired years ago. We need a true conservative Congressman for our district. Someone who knows how to really get things done in DC. Hall has hitched his wagon to Amnesty Bush, and we all know it. We are too smart to fall for this empty-suit legislation. The biggest insult is that Hall thinks you and I don't deserve better representation in DC. Time to go Hall.
